About Zurig 40: Zurig 40 mg is the medicine to treat the arthritic pains by decreasing the high uric acid levels in the blood also called as hyperuricemia. This contains the active ingredient called Febuxostat 40mg. It belongs to the group of xanthine oxidase inhibitors. These inhibitors act by reducing the formation of the uric acid within the body. It also helps in preventing the gout attacks. This medicine is helpful in treating the symptoms like swelling, pain, and inflammation of one or more number of joints.
How to use Zurig 40
This Zurig 40 mg is used in treating the gout attacks but is limited by its action after the gout attack. It is given with other tablets for first few months of the treatment to reduce the chances of gout attacks. This comes in a pack of 14 tablets. This medicine should not be taken against the doctor`s advice. As this drug is also given for chronic gout, this cannot be discontinued or stopped at once. It is safe to take the recommended dose every time. In the case of missed dose, you can take medicine when remembered but when it is the time for next dose then do not double the dose.
