About Fabulas: Fabulus (Febuxostat) is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor that is prescribed for patients to treat gout conditions through causing a reduction of serum uric acid levels. Gout is normally caused by a condition known as hyperuricemia which is as a result of very high levels of uric acid levels in the blood. The excess uric acid may lead to the formation of crystals which in due time develops to an extreme pain which is accompanied by stiffness and swelling.
