About Telma : Telma 40 mg is a drug used in the treatment of increased levels of blood pressure and also treats the diseases associated with diabetes renal complications and heart problems like heart attack or stroke. It contains the active ingredient called Telmisartan 40 mg. The Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd manufactures it. It acts on the blood vessels by relaxing and widening the vessels thereby reducing the pressure on the heart functioning and makes it work normally. This drug usually reduces the blood pressure within 24 hours and stabilizes the normal levels by 4-8 weeks after the start of the medicines. It has a shelf life of 3 years, and caution to be taken to avoid expiry drugs.
