Microgest (Microgest Progesterone) defines natural progesterone which is used as a part of a Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). The progesterone is broken down which enables it to be easily metabolized in the body. This discovery was an advancement of taking progesterone in its natural form. When taken orally, it was inactive as a treatment medicine. It is used to restore normal menstrual periods in women for women not pregnant or not going through menopause either. How to use Microgest
Unless directed otherwise by your doctor, most patients use Microgest an average of one time per day. This medicine can be taken with or without food but in both instances, a glass of water would be important. It is taken mostly just before bedtime but depending on your symptoms; your doctor may suggest other times for taking the medicine. Remember to take only a dosage prescribed by your physician. When taking the capsules, do not chew, break or split them before consumption. Take them whole just as they are and ensure that you follow the prescriptions as advised.
Take Microgest as prescribed by your physician. In most cases, this includes taking a 200mg capsule of Microgest once per day. This should be a continuous period of 12 days, to be specific; last 12 days of a 28-day menstrual cycle. If your doctor recommends a longer period of taking the medicine, follow their instruction. For a missed dose of Microgest, take it as soon as you remember. Do not take a double dose even if your conditions do not improve. In the case that your symptoms improve, do not alter the dosage to lower levels. Do so only when a doctor recommends a change in your prescription and gives you a new prescription.
Microgest Side Effects
When using Microgest (Microgest Progesterone), there are side effects you possible will experience. Though some may not be extremely serious, it is important to consult your physician as soon as you notice any of these side effects. They include; hot flashes, pain in the breasts, acne, abnormal growth of hair in the body, joint pains. These listed above are just the common side effects. Adverse ones include vaginal bleeding, decreased eyesight power and unexplainable and extremely severe headaches. Other side effects may include abnormal weight changes, jaundice, lowered libido or bloating. Microgest contains peanut oil and should not be used with patients who are allergic to peanuts. If you have a history of any liver disease, abnormal genital bleedings are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, are allergic to any of Microgest’s ingredients, talk to your physician before starting to use the medicine. Strictly adhere to the dosage prescribed to you by your physician. Altering your dosage increases your risks of developing ovarian cancer and other adverse health conditions such as cardiovascular events including stroke and myocardial infarction.
