Hytrin (Terazosin) is a drug that can be prescribed to treat a variety of conditions. How to use Hytrin

The dose may be increased gradually with the maintenance dose varying from one patient to another. In most instances, the maintenance dose is between 2mg to 5mg per day, but may get to 10mg depending on the response to the medication. The required dosage when treating high blood pressure is slightly different. While it will start with a prescription of 1mg per day, the maintenance dose will range from 1mg to 5mg per day, with the exact amount being dictated by the prescribing doctor.
Hytrin Side Effects
Patients using Hytrin (Terazosin) may experience various side effects with the common ones including sexual dysfunction, nasal congestion, noticeable pain in the back, a mild dizzy sensation, and a painful tingling sensation that affect the feet or hands. If you experience the more serious side effects such as a rapid heartbeat, breathlessness, and a sore erection lasting for more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical attention.
Before you start using this medicine to treat any symptom, it is prudent to inform your doctor if you have any history of low blood pressure or any medical conditions affecting the liver or the prostate. You are advised to avoid driving or using machines as well as engaging in other risky activities for at least 12 hours after the first time of taking this medicine, or after the dose has been increased. This is because dizziness may be experienced.
