About XTANE: XTANE (Exemestane) is used as part of a treatment therapy for women suffering from breast cancer. Cancer tumors are thought to use estrogen hormones to grow, and this medicine works y reducing the amount of estrogen in the body so as to check the growth of the tumor. The medicine is mostly used for women who are in their post-menopausal stage. It can be used for the treatment of other conditions that may not be listed here. How to use XTANE
XTANE (Exemestane) is available as tablets which should always be administered orally. The tablets should be absorbed slowly in the body for maximum effectiveness. It is therefore not advised to alter the tablets either by splitting, dissolving, chewing or crushing them as this would only hasten their absorption which may end up affecting their effectiveness. Use a full glass of water to swallow the tablets whole and it is preferred that you take a snack or meal so as to prevent an upset of the stomach.
