How to use Vetsulin


Vetuslin is veterinary insulin for the treatment of diabetes in dogs and cats. Vetsulin contains 40IU/mL porcine insulin in a suspension. Porcine insulin has the same amino acid sequence as canine insuline.

Vetsulin Dosage


Vetsulin should be stored upright in a refrigerator until ready for use.

Shake the vial until a milky consistency is achived with no visible clumps.

The suspension should be loaded into a syringe and then injected into the pet.

The usual starting dosage is 0.5IU of insulin per kg of body weight for dogs, and 1-2IU per injection (twice daily) for cats.

It is important that only a U-40 syringe is used for injection.

Do not use Vetsulin in any animals with a pork allergy.

Vetsuling is intended for use by dogs and cats only.

Overdosage can result in hypoglycemia and death in severe cases.

Make sure to regularly check your pet for hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia to make sure the correct dose is being used to achieve glycemic control.
