About Trajenta: Trajenta (Linagliptin) is an anti-diabetic medication that is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Each tablet of Trajenta contains 5 mg of Linagliptin which is the active component in this drug. Linagliptin is a kind of diabetic medication also known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. It helps to control blood sugar by increasing the amount of glucagon-like peptide-1 and glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide. These two hormones are produced naturally in the body and are responsible for stimulating the production of insulin which increases blood sugar in the body. Insulin is responsible for regulating levels of glucose in the blood.
