About Tolvasca: Tolvasca (Tolvaptan) tablets are ingested orally with a glass of water. Each Tolvasca tablet contains 30 mg of Tolvaptan which is the active ingredient in the drug. It is a selective vasopressin V2 receptor antagonist. When ingested, Tolvasca (Tolvaptan) works by reducing the effect of vasopressin thus increasing the amount of water released by the body. This helps regulate urine osmolality and increase in serum sodium amount in the blood. Tolvasca (Tolvaptan) helps in regulating normal blood pressure in the body.
How to use Tolvasca
Tolvasca (Tolvaptan) tablets are taken orally with a glass of water. This medication can be taken before or after meals. The tablet should be swallowed whole. It should not be broken or chewed as it may affect how the drug is absorbed in the body.
