About Stugeron Forte: Stugeron Forte (Cinnarizine) is a medication used in the treatment of motion sickness in patients. It can also be used for treating other conditions such as dizziness, nausea or even vomiting, vertigo which describes spinning sensations, tinnitus which is a ringing sensation in the ears, dizziness attacks and another type of middle ear disorders. The medicine works as an inhibitor to histamine and other types of receptors found in the middle ear. These receptors normally are responsible for the activation of the vomiting centre which in turn leads to the development of nausea symptoms, vomiting or vertigo.
How to use Stugeron Forte
Your doctor will instruct you on how to use this medicine as they prescribed it for you. You will also be provided with an instructions leaflet to help you remind yourself of how to use it and in case anything is not clear to you on how to use the medicine, consult your doctor immediately. Stugeron Forte (Cinnarizine) is available as tablets that should be strictly taken orally. You may take the tablets without food but to help prevent stomach upsets, taking the tablets with food is recommended. For each dosage, take a full glass of water whether you have used food or not. If you intend to travel while under medication, take the tablets 2 hours before starting your travel. Take the tablets periodically in portions that will be determined by your prescription.

Stugeron Forte Side Effects
Patients who have used Stugeron Forte (Cinnarizine) in the treatment of various conditions have reported the occurrence of side effects during their use of the medicine. The most commonly reported side effects include; dryness of mouth, increased and abnormal sweating, abnormal weight gain, symptoms of gut disturbances which include nausea, vomiting, pain in the abdomen, constipation or diarrhea. These should not cause an alarm unless they worsen or remain persistent for long. There are less-experienced but severe side effects that should be reported to the physician as soon as they are experienced. These include; uncontrollable and abnormal movements of the tongue, neck, legs, face or hands, rigidity (which is mostly reported by elderly patients or those who have been using the medicine for long periods), twitching and any other side effect that may not have been listed here. Stugeron Forte Precautions
Do not continue to use this medicine if you have skin prick tests scheduled at least for 48 hours. The medicine contains antihistamines which are known to lessen and in some cases prevent totally skin reactions used to determine the presence of allergies in the body. Try to avoid alcohol when using this medicine. Beware of performing activities requiring high concentration levels as this may be hazardous as the medicine causes dizziness.
