How to use Panoramis
Panoramis (Spinosad/Milbemycin Oxime) functions as both a worm treatment for dogs and a flea control medicine. It works by ridding the animal`s body of parasitic worms and killing fleas. This in turn helps to stop flea infestations and offers benefits in the management of flea allergy dermatitis. Heartworm disease can also be prevented. When used as a dewormer, it is active against whipworm (trichuris vulpis), hookworm (ancylostoma caninum) and roundworm (Toxocara canis). These tablets are made by combining 2 ingredients, which exhibit different modes of actions against the many pests that can harm dogs.
Spinosad is classified as an insecticide. Experts have stated that it works by targeting the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors of the insects, which causes tremors, motor neuron disruption and hyperexcitation of the fleas, eventually killing them. Milbemycin oxime exhibits anthelmintic properties. It acts in the muscular and nerve cells of the parasites, and affects cell permeability. This paralyzes and kills the parasites. Heartworm is a serious parasite that is transmitted to dogs via mosquito bites. Many dogs do not exhibit symptoms until the disease has become serious. Regular treatment with this medicine can help prevent dogs from developing heartworm disease.
