About Onsior: Onsior (Robenacoxib) is prescribed by vets as a treatment for inflammation and pain in dogs affected by chronic osteoarthritis or other causes. This drug is an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) that targets an enzyme responsible for causing pain.

How to use Onsior

Onsior (Robenacoxib) is prescribed by vets as a treatment for inflammation and pain in cats and dogs affected by chronic osteoarthritis or other causes. This drug is an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) that targets an enzyme responsible for causing pain (this enzyme is referred to as COX-2), while sparing another enzyme (COX-1), so as to better protect the gastrointestinal tract.

Onsior Dosage

Onsior (Robenacoxib) tablets will be taken by most animals. Vets generally instruct owners to give the tablet to the pet without food (or else 30 minutes before or after eating). The dosage required depends on the weight of the pet, and dog owners must take their animal to a vet, so that the correct dosage can be prescribed. Never adjust your animal`s dosage, as this could be dangerous. In cases where long term treatment is required, vets may need to monitor the animal`s condition and adjust the dose.

Onsior Side Effects

Possible side effects of Onsior (Robenacoxib) include:

  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • A reduction in appetite
  • Gastrointestinal side effects
  • Blood in the animal`s feces

An increase in liver enzyme activities may occur in some cases. Owners should take their animal to a veterinarian immediately if any side effects occur.

Onsior Precautions

Treating cats or dogs with heart, kidney or liver problems, or those which are dehydrated, affected by low blood pressure or that have a low volume of blood in circulation may involve some risks.

It is very important to note that this medication is for use in animals only, and should never be taken by humans.
