About Lipvas: Lipvas (Atorvastatin Calcium) is a medicinal drug prescribed to patients suffering from high cholesterol levels. This medicine is used to increase the amount of good cholesterol which is normally referred to as HDL while reducing bad cholesterol in LDL. This medicine is classified as an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor because of its active ingredient atorvastatin calcium. Normally, this medication is prescribed along a diet and exercise program. It is effective in reducing heart attacks, reducing the risks of strokes and helps in reduction of chances of needing a heart surgery in future time.
How to use Lipvas
Your doctor will give you instructions on how to take this medicine. Lipvas (Atorvastatin Calcium) is available in tablets and should be taken orally only. The tablets should be swallowed whole. Dissolving, chewing, crushing or splitting the tablet only reduces its effectiveness and this is not recommended. Take the tablets with a full glass of water with or without food.
