Ketasma (Ketotifen Fumarate) is a medicine used as a treatment for asthma. It helps reduce the occurrence of asthma attacks on patients. It however does not stop asthma attacks and is only a good option when taken continuously in asthma prophylaxis.
Ketasma can be categorized as a non-bronchodilator medicine and works by prevention of unnecessary activities in the airways as well as prevention of release of histamine, leukotrienes and other chemicals that mediate asthma inflammations. Ketasma is also categorized as aH1-antihistamine type and shows actions related to antiasthmatic medicine.
