About HCQS: HCQS 200 (Hydroxychloroquine) is used to prevent and treat rheumatic disorders such as systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and porphyria cutanea tarda, and certain infections such as Q fever and certain types of malaria.
How to use HCQS
You will begin treatment 1 to 2 weeks before you travel to an area where malaria is common and then continue during your time in the area and for 4 weeks after you return. If you are an adult and taking HCQS 200 (Hydroxychloroquine) to treat malaria, the first dose is usually taken right away.
HCQS Dosage
Administer PLAQUENIL orally with food or milk. Do not crush or divide the tablets. Start 2 weeks before travel. once a week, staring 2 weeks prior to travel to the endemic area, on the same day every week, continuing the same weekly dose while in the endemic area, and for 4 weeks after leaving the endemic area.
HCQS Side Effects
HCQS 200 (Hydroxychloroquine) may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
yellowing of your eyes, headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea, evere muscle weakness, loss of coordination, underactive reflexes, diarrhea, Stomach pain, Skin rash,
HCQS Precautions
If you have muscle weakness, pain, or tenderness while using this medicine. Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had liver disease, heart disease, a prolonged QT interval . A low level of magnesium or potassium in your blood, psoriasis, porphyria or other blood disorders.
