About Doxycycline : Doxycycline 100mg is a medicine used in the treatment of bacterial and protozoal infections. It is used as a preventive medicine for Malaria. It is an antibiotic which acts as an antiprotozoal, antihelminthic and antibacterial medicine. This medicine was introduced for commercial purposes in the year 1967. Doxycycline 100mg is bacteriostatic which acts on the bacterial ribosomes by inhibiting the protein synthesis which is necessary for the growth and multiplication of bacteria within the human body. It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic derived from the class of tetracycline.
How to use Doxycycline
Doxycycline 100mg comes in a strip of 10 capsules. As it is an antibiotic, the course of the medicine should be completed. It should be taken on the doctor`s prescription and should not be altered or discontinued without the physician`s consent.
