Covance (Losartan Potassium) is a medicine which is most effective when used alone and is used to treat symptoms of high blood pressure. It can as well be used with other high blood pressure medications for instance diuretics which is helpful in removing excess water from the body. Of the new class of high blood pressure medicine referred to as angiotensin II receptor antagonists, this medicine is the first of such. It works partly by prevention of angiotensin II from constricting in the blood levels, and this directly reduces blood pressure.
