Typical Dosage for Allergy Symptoms
Adults and children 6 years and older: 5 mg to 10 mg once daily, depending on the severity of the symptoms.
Adults over 65 years: 5 mg once daily (as older adults may be more sensitive to the drug).
Children 2 to 5 years old: 2.5 mg once daily. If needed, the dose may be increased to 5 mg per day, given either as 2.5 mg every 12 hours or 5 mg once daily.
