How to use CAT-LAX

CAT-LAX Laxative Paste (White Soft Paraffin/Beeswax) is given to cats for use as a laxative. By combining white soft paraffin (which functions as a lubricant), lecithin (a type of antioxidant which helps to cause an increase in intestinal absorption) and cod liver (used for its laxative effects), this medicine can aid with the removal of hairballs that may have accumulated in the cat`s body, and may also prevent the formation of further hairballs, thereby helping to prevent the gastrointestinal tract from becoming instructed.

CAT-LAX Dosage

CAT-LAX Laxative Paste (White Soft Paraffin/Beeswax) is considered by most vets to be palatable for cats. Owners may give it directly to the cat, or as an alternative, a small amount of paste may be placed on the animal`s paw, after which it will lick the paw. The prevention of hairballs sometimes requires 2 to 3 doses per week, whereas removal of hairballs requires a daily dose. In most cases, 2cm to 3cm of paste is considered a sufficient amount for adult cats.

CAT-LAX Side Effects

CAT-LAX Laxative Paste (White Soft Paraffin/Beeswax) is usually safe for use in cats, however, owners should take their cat to a vet straight away if it becomes ill or shows any signs of side effects.

CAT-LAX Precautions

There is a possibility that using this paste on your cat for an extended period of time may result in a deficiency of minerals or vitamins.

This paste is for animal use only, and should never be taken by humans.
