It belongs to a larger group of medicines that are referred to as beta-adrenergic blocking agents. They also can be called beta-blockers which are their common name of beta-blocking agents. Medicines in this category other than treating hypertension can also be used to treat chest pains (angina), prevent a migraine and prevent future attacks for patients suffering from the previous history of heart attacks. It also helps regulate heartbeat rate and is used in the treatment of tremors.

How to use Betaloc

Once you have been prescribed Betaloc and started using it, you are advised not to stop unless it is a recommendation from your doctor. In most cases, abrupt stops are discouraged, and you will find your physician reducing your dosage gradually then completely.
