About Azee : Azee 250 mg is a medicine mainly used in the treatment of gram-negative bacterial infections. The most common bacterial infections treated are throat infections like tonsillitis, upper respiratory tract infections like a cough and cold, middle ear infections like Otitis media and any fever due to bacterial infections. This medicine has the active ingredient called Azithromycin 250 mg in the tablet form. This strength is usually used in the pediatric treatment. This is derived from the antibiotic group called Macrolides and from the subclass called Azalides. Azithromycin acts on the bacterial ribosomes by inhibiting the protein synthesis thereby preventing the growth and multiplication of bacteria in the human body.
How to use Azee
Azee 250 mg is a pediatric dose; it comes in a pack of 6 tablets. This medicine is usually given on doctor`s prescription and in those cases who are allergic to the penicillin group of drugs like Amoxycillin. The dose should not be altered or discontinued until three days and should strictly follow the doctor`s diet and regimen for the complete cure. As this is an antibiotic when discontinued, the bacteria get susceptible to the medicines in the future.
Azee Dosage
Azee 250 mg should be taken as directed by the physician. It is usually taken two times in a day following food or even before food along with water orally. The dose of the medicines should not be altered or reduced or discontinued until you complete the course of the treatment unless advised by the doctor in cases of emergency. No double dose to be taken. It is usually given depending on the child`s age, weight and the condition of the disease present. The medicine should not be crushed or broken into halves as it may lose its medicinal strength.

Azithromycin has certain precautions and directions to be followed before the administration of the drug. Such precautions are
Azithromycin is not advised in the pregnant women and lactating females. The breastfeeding should be stopped before the medicine consumption and breast milk also to be discarded for two days of discontinuing the medication.
Drug dose alteration should not be done as it given based on the weight, age, and severity of the condition unless prescribed by the doctor.
A detailed history of medical illness like asthma, kidney diseases, liver diseases or seizures or any drug allergies to be said to the doctor before the drug prescription.
In case of any skin allergies or rashes found after the consumption of the drug, then stop the medicine and seek the medical advice.
Drugs containing aluminum and magnesium should be avoided as it counteracts the effects of Azithromycin.
