About Lioresal: The major trade name for this drug is Lioresal, Intrathecal or Gablofen. It operated under an active ingredient also known as Baclofen which is also the generic name. It belongs to two groups namely; muscle relaxants and antis panics.
How to use Lioresal
It is often prescribed to patients that experience muscle stiffness, spasms, pain and multiple sclerosis. In fact, it works by relaxing the muscles so that the patient does not feel pain in the process. It also works by reducing severe muscle spasms that are caused by neurological disorders. Call your doctor to inform him on your progress in case the condition does not improve after two weeks.
The film-coated tablets are taken orally once or twice a day depending on the instructions from the doctor. Before the drug is prescribed to the patient, he/she needs to undergo a series of assessments so that they do not develop other complications after that. Once the therapy is complete, it is not advisable to continue taking it over a period of 6 months. It is advisable to continue taking medicine gradually as the therapy progresses.
